Alpha, Omega, Oh Thou First and Last,
Restorer of fallen man, Priest, Prophet, King,
Blest virgin's Son, who only able hast
Subdued all things, shalt judge every thing.
True Sanctifier of this holy land
By native birth, low nature, filial care,
Patterns, precepts, miracles of Thy hand,
Death, resurrection, after burial here,
Breathe on me, God and Man, inspire Thou me
With free confession, hearty penitence,
True love, firm hope, and perfect charity,
That so by merit of Thy blood's expense
I, living by Thee, in Thee may persever
Approached into Thee, with the rest for ever.
